［小６・中１］なつやすみ～夏期講習（英語）について

こんにちは！

小６・中１英語科主任のマイケル・ワーゴンです。

今日のブログは、日本語と英語の二本立てです！

今年の夏はとても暑く、特に8月中旬はうだるような暑さでしたね。

そんな夏でしたが、小6、中1のほとんどの子どもたちが夏期講習に参加し

各教科のスキルアップを目指しました。

英語では、3つの習熟度別クラスに分かれ講習を行いました。

私の担当したベーシッククラスでは、1学期のトピックと文法を復習し、

自分でかんたんなホームページを作成することによって

英語とICT活用スキルの両方を学習しました。

生徒たちは、ホームページの閲覧者にアピールするために

どんな情報を表示することが重要で、

何を非公開にする必要があるかについて学びました。

6日間の夏期講習を終え、9月1日より2学期がスタートしました。

子どもたちは、今週末の個人探究発表や

フィールドワークのプロジェクトで忙しい日々となります。

みんなで健康と安全に配慮しながら過ごしていきたいと思います。

This year's summer has been really hot especially during August.

Most of the students have participated in the Summer School Program.

Bascically,the students build up their skills in all subjects.

As for English, the grade 6 & 7 advance classes used the skills

they learned in term 1 to inquire about discrimination around the world.

The basic classes used the topics from term 1,

and built an in-school web page to build up their ICT skills.

The students learned the importance of information

and the security of private information as well.

The 2nd term begun! Students will be busy

on preparing their project presentations and the upcoming fieldwork.
